Deeds that please Allah
Pleasing Allah through righteous deeds is essential for leading a spiritually enriched life. When we perform actions solely for Allah's pleasure, we not only secure a better hereafter but also bring peace and blessings to our worldly life. By adhering to Allah’s guidance, we safeguard ourselves from errors, seek forgiveness for our sins, and strive to become better individuals. These actions nurture patience, strengthen faith, and fortify our relationship with Allah. Below are key deeds that lead to Allah's happiness:
1. Tauheed (Oneness of Allah) and Avoiding Shirk
"Do not associate partners with Allah."
(Surah An-Nisa: 4:48)
"Whoever dies without associating anything with Allah will enter Paradise."
(Sahih Muslim)
Practical Lesson: Belief in Allah's Oneness ensures purity of faith and opens the doors to eternal salvation.
2. Speaking the Truth
"Truthfulness leads to righteousness, and righteousness leads to Paradise."
(Sahih Bukhari)
Practical Lesson: Truthful speech cultivates honesty and paves the way for righteousness in all aspects of life.
3. Establishing Salah (Prayer)
"And establish prayer, give zakat, and bow with those who bow in worship."
(Surah Al-Baqarah: 43)
"The first deed to be accounted for on the Day of Judgment is prayer. If it is sound, all deeds will be sound."
(Sunan Tirmidhi: 413)
Practical Lesson: Salah is the cornerstone of a believer’s life, connecting them directly to Allah and keeping their actions in check.
4. Patience (Sabr) and Gratitude (Shukr)
"Indeed, Allah is with those who are patient."
(Surah Al-Baqarah: 153)
"The affair of a believer is amazing. If he is afflicted with hardship and is patient, it is better for him. And if he is granted happiness and is grateful, it is better for him."
(Sahih Muslim)
Practical Lesson: Patience during difficulties and gratitude in ease strengthens faith and brings immense reward from Allah.
5. Sila Rehmi (Maintaining Family Ties)
"And be kind to relatives."
(Surah An-Nisa: 36)
"Whoever desires that his life span be prolonged and his provision increased, let him maintain good relations with his family."
(Sahih Bukhari: 5985)
Practical Lesson: Kindness and maintaining ties with relatives not only enhance worldly blessings but also bring Allah’s pleasure.
Conclusion
